Sensoa is the Flemish agency providing a wide range topics on sexual information. Sensoa's latest website seksualiteit.be provides information on sexual health and provides useful information for parents. In order to fulfill the need for information on topics such as Aids, preconception and sexual harassment, Sensoa aims to fill in these needs by separate focussed websites that are interlinked. Through Sensoa also provides practical information for parents in order to educate their children on sexual relationships.
As the theme based information is gradually taken out of the former corporate website, Krimson also replaced the current Sensoa.be website with a much leaner corporate website. As a multiwebsite environement, Sensoa is able to push content blocks from corporate level towards various target audiences. Where Seksualiteit.be is the first, others are to follow in 2012 and 2013.
Project highlights
While the websites in and of themselves relatively straight forward, the Drupal 7 multiwebsite setup offered some challenges towards content migration, content push-and-pull and theming. As Sensoa accumulated hundreds of information rich articles, content migration early on in the process was a must-have. As such, a workflow based Content Staging environment was setup, allowing Sensoa to migrate and create content early on during the project. A separate documentation server was installed allowing Sensoa to distribute content over various editors but also add how-to's of their own.
In length of Sensoa's online strategies towards various target groups, amongst which are Aids patients, homo sexuals and young adults, Seksualiteit.be was constructed as a blueprint for the target specific websites following in 2012 and 2013. This 'profile' is actively maintained as functionalities evolve and the source code progresses during maintenance patches. By using this up-to-date profile, Sensoa is enabled to inform a new audience online in a very short time.
