Spring is training season here at Krimson. We kicked off with our open training mid march 2010, delighted to get to organize this event in collaboration with the "Karel De Grote Hogeschool" in Hoboken.

A quick survey showed that the overall satisfaction was good to very good. People love us for our excellent technical knowledge. The survey did however also point out some potential for improvement: we now realize we should test Wifi networks in advance and provide more accurate driving instructions to locations that aren't easily accessible by public transportation :)

Meanwhile, we simultaneously succeeded in crowning developer training for the people of Anaxis, with whom we collaborate to deliver a Drupal based extranet application. This project, benefitting Toerisme Limburg will contain all information about touristic organizations (hotels, parks, etc..) and will allow them to report their yearly statistics to the provincial and federal government, hands down.

In addition, we've provided guidance and consultancy to Jetair. We expect them to switch their high-volume websites to Drupal by the end of the year.
Also, a four-day developer training for Paratel had us wonder whether other media companies in the Flemish Media Valley (Vilvoorde) will also start using Drupal for their web-projects now?

At this very moment we're getting a bunch of developers from iBuildings to speed with Drupal and learning them the ins and outs of hooks and theming overrides.

And in a few weeks we will start a hefty security audit for some European (undisclosed) websites.

That's a lot of knowledge transfer and it fits perfectly with Krimson's credo : "Sharing knowledge is in the best interest for the community, and Drupal will thank you for that."

This Open Source Evangelist is extremely serious. How serious you ask? He obtained a Masters in Quantum Physics (aka stuff only he understands), bailed out of his PhD studies to obtain a Masters in IT instead and finally ended up saying 'yes' when Dries 'Drupal' Buytaert asked him to maintain DRUPAL.be. Known for his communication skills and no-nonsense style (make it work - and keep it running) he comes up with solutions for problems the client has never even thought of. He also provides all Krew members with shoulder taps and weekly massages. After all, Drupal is about sharing, isn't it?
