A tradition in the cultural field; at the end of June the program for the upcoming season is presented by each theatre, cultural centre and opera in the country.  At Cultural Centre Schoten (CC Schoten) they picked this date as the ideal opportunity to launch their new website. From now on you can check out all their events at www.ccschoten.be.

Design

The homepage represents the main image of the new season, which also decorates the upper part of every other page and which will be used in all offline publication this season. Visitors see the latest news and some upcoming events. The design of the site corresponds to the design of the printed program booklet. This publication is the annual gem of CC Schoten and this class is now reflected in the site too.

Drupal

Using the Drupal CMS, employees can easily manage the entire website.
They fill in all the details of the various events and based on the date and price, a booking form is being generated automatically for each event. The event will also appear with the appropriate date and price in the mass-reservation form. For each event additional media material (video - image) are displayed in a gallery. In addition to public performances, CC Schoten has a wide range of events for schools. These events are listed in a separate part of the site, designed specifically for them.

Third party integration

Aside from the events organized by CC Schoten, one can also find other activities that take place in the municipality of Schoten . Through the integration of the  UiT widget, all events in Schoten that are listed in the central Flemish UiT-database, are also displayed on this website.

Hard stuff

At CC Schoten, traditionally, people can order a bunch of tickets for the entire season at the start of the term, receiving a discount. Therefore a dynamically updated reservation form needed to be implemented. People can now reserve all their tickets  with just one click instead of ordering their tickets event per event.

Mastered in Informatics this Senior Drupal Architect actually got a proper education in the field. After slaving for five years as an all round IT-er for e-governmental stuff he chose to hold that same function at Krimson: from analysis to development. Fascinated by JQuery. This vegetarian rock star is the most silent of the whole Krew - near to mute, really - but this is probably because he has no vocal power left after screaming his heart out on hard-core fests. Remains faithful to Drupal during those outbursts of glam - check the t-shirt...

Awesome Design!

Hey there. Just wanted to drop by to congratulate you for your awesome design.

I love what you did with the hover-triggered images / text.

Keep up the good work. Drupal rocks!
